Regional Manager - Plano, TX

Summary:

Supervise the Eastern region of retail banking center operations by: closely directing staff and through daily hands on work with systems and branch managers; overseeing and implementing branch policies and procedures; compliance with regulations and to generally ensure overall professional and efficient operation of banking center locations.  Accountable for the financial performance and customer satisfaction in each branch.  Supervision responsibility for Branch Managers, Assistant Branch Mangers and Retail Banking Specialist in assigned region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the department objectives are executed in a systematic and effective manner
  • Ensure customer service standards, data integrity and compliance with the bank’s policies and procedures are maintained.
  • Hire, train and develop qualified managers and supervisors; monitor performance and conduct terminations and layoffs.
  • Manage vendor relationships for assigned region.
  • Manage facility and property needs for assigned regional locations.
  • Assist with marketing projects, including weekly newspaper rate grids.
  • Assist in the coordination of banking center security, safety and disaster recovery
  • Assist with resolution of customer issues.
  • Coordinate, participate and report community involvement for CRA service credit.
  • Responsible for auditing and updating Branch Operation policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications (education, experience, computer skills and certifications…etc):

  • 2 – 4 years of experience with banking rules and regulations.
  • 2 – 4 years of banking experience
  • 3 – 5 years of customer service experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Branch Manager
  • High School Diploma or GED is required; 4 year college degree is highly desired

Branch Manager - Garden City, NY

Requirements:

We are a wholesale bank with a focus on deposits and related services. At Beal Bank, Branch Managers are fully hands-on team members. In addition to supervising an assistant manager and 3-4 new account representatives, you will be working directly with customers and our core banking platform on a daily basis.

This position requires 3-5 years prior banking management experience; strong interpersonal/customer service skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to adapt to change; and working knowledge of retail operations and regulatory compliance.

Commercial Default Loan Officer

Requirements:

The Loan Officer will have at least 10 years experience in the field. Must demonstrate expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures. This experience may have been gained in roles such as Asset Manager, Commercial Loan Workout Officer or Loan Officer. A bachelors degree is required, MBA or JD is preferred. Qualified candidates will have excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities:

The Commercial Default Loan Officer is responsible for:

  • Managing a portion of BSC's portfolio of commercial defaulted loans.
  • Relying on extensive experience and judgment, the Loan Officer communicates with obligors and legal counsel to collect the loans, foreclose the collateral, modify or restructure the debt and actively represent BSC in bankruptcies and creditor's rights litigation.
  • Direct efforts of outside legal counsel in litigation to collect defaulted loans, foreclosure collateral or protect BSC's legal interests in borrower or guarantor bankruptcies.
  • Analyze financial statements, operating statements and asset/liability searches.
  • Assure the compliance with BSC's policies and procedures related to managing and collecting commercial loans.
  • Directly manage a loan portfolio to maximize recovery on each loan.
  • Draft recommendations on loan collection and present them to the appropriate loan committees.
  • This position may lead and supervisor others.

In-House Commercial Litigation Attorney

Requirements:

This position will enforce and defend rights in various assets in a nationwide portfolio, including obtaining and realizing upon judgments against obligors. Defend liability suits and counter-claims. Essential duties will include litigation case management from the commencement of case through post-judgment collection or loan disposition and maintaining on-going communication with outside counsel on assigned litigation matters. This position will be responsible for the review of pleadings for factual accuracy of information prior to filing with the Court. This position will be tasked with the review of outside counsel invoices on assigned cases for reasonableness and accuracy prior to submission to management for approval and payment. This position will also be responsible for the review and evaluation of assigned loans, obligor collectability and submission of recommendations for consideration by management. Other essential duties will include attending trials, depositions or mediations as the representative on behalf of Beal Service Corporation (“BSC”).

Responsibilities:

A qualified candidate will have no less than 10 years litigation experience representing secured creditors and must have actual first chair trial experience.

This position requires knowledge and a working familiarity with: collection law, UFTA, bankruptcy, pre and post judgment remedies and receivers and some lender liability defense is helpful. Candidate must be able to supervise professional-level and clerical employees. A qualified candidate must be an articulate verbal communicator who is also capable of preparing detailed written presentations that are presented to senior management and up to the Board of Directors level. A Bachelor's and J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school is required and candidate must be currently licensed and in good standing in one or more states. Candidate must have the ability to manage dynamic work processes and to implement and monitor controls. This position requires the experience to analyze complex legal questions and advise management on potential outcomes and options. Some travel is required.

Staff Accountant

Beal Nevada Service Corporation is growing and seeking a Staff Accountant for our Corporate Headquarters located in Plano, TX. This position will be responsible for assisting the LSBO Senior Accountant with loan data flow utilizing Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists with a variety of tasks related to LSBO’s (Loan portfolios serviced by others), including but not limited to:

  • Preparing monthly reconciliations of third party reports and resolving any discrepancies
  • Performing loan activity rollforwards
  • Manipulating third party spreadsheets into an Access database format
  • Importing/Exporting loan data between Excel and Access
  • Preparing General Ledger Reconciliations, including Intercompany Reconciliations
  • Preparing and Inputting Journal Entries
  • Additional duties as assigned Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • 2-4 years of accounting and finance experience
