Attorney — Plano, TX

Summary

CLMG Corp. seeks an Attorney within the Litigation department who will enforce and defend rights in various assets within a nationwide portfolio, including obtaining and realizing upon judgments against obligors. The Attorney will be responsible for defending liability suits and counter-claims.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Litigation case management from the commencement of case through post-judgment collection or loan disposition
  • Supervise outside counsel on assigned litigation matters
  • Review pleadings for factual accuracy of information prior to filing with the Court
  • Work with loan portfolio managers and assist with litigation issues arising from portfolio
  • Review outside counsel invoices on assigned cases for reasonableness and accuracy prior to submission to management for approval and payment
  • Review and evaluate assigned loans, obligor collectability and submit recommendations for consideration by management
  • Attend trials, depositions or mediations as the client representative

Qualifications (education, work experience, certifications, etc.):

  • 10 years litigation experience representing secured creditors
  • First chair and jury trial experience
  • Working familiarity with: collection law, UFTA, UCC. FIRREA, bankruptcy, pre and post judgment remedies and receivers
  • Residential and consumer experience and familiarity with TILA, RESPA, ECOA, FRCA and CFPB regulations
  • Some lender liability defense and environmental law is helpful
  • Able to supervise professional-level and clerical employees
  • Articulate communicator who is also capable of preparing detailed written presentations to senior management up to board of director’s
  • Admitted to practice law and a graduate from an ABA accredited law school
  • Prior national law firm experience preferred

Assistant Controller — Plano, TX

Summary

Beal Bank seeks an Assistant Controller who will be reporting directly to the Controller. The Assistant Controller is responsible for supporting our Controller in planning, organizing and directing the day-to-day activities of the accounting functions within the company. Specifically, these activities include management of the company's general ledger, corporate accounting. The Assistant Controller will also be responsible for assisting the Controller in monitoring the company's compliance with GAAP and regulatory accounting principles ("RAP").

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist the Controller, who has the oversight responsibility for accounting activity taking place within the decentralized operating units of the company
  • Assist the Controller in maintaining the quality and accuracy of accounting records at Beal Bank USA
  • Maintain general ledger for Beal Bank USA and subsidiaries
  • Review the work of accounting staff as directed
  • Assist with the coordination of the monthly close process
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements
  • Assist with the preparation of regulatory reports as directed
  • Prepare Board of Director reports on a monthly basis
  • Assist with preparation of schedules for internal and external audits
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications (education, work experience, certifications, etc.):

  • At least 3-5 years of progressive accounting and auditing experience, either with one of the "Big 4" or comparable accounting firms and/or within the context of a corporate environment
  • Must possess current knowledge of GAAP and regulatory accounting principles.("RAP") requirements
  • Accounting degree from an accredited university or college (CPA required).
  • Excel proficiency and database skills a significant plus
  • Experience with investment accounting principles a plus

Senior Financial Analyst — Plano, TX

Summary

Founded in 1988, the Beal Bank family of companies is headquartered in Plano, Texas, and comprises one of the largest private financial institutions in the United States.

The Bank seeks a bright, hard-working analyst to work directly with the Chief Financial Officer. The analyst will work closely with the CFO and other senior professionals of the firm to review and evaluate a wide range of topics. Candidates should be curious problem solvers who are not easily discouraged and strive to find solutions even in tough scenarios. Individuals will be given as much responsibility as their experience and growing capabilities permit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the finance team in the developing and analyzing flexible financial models and perform ad hoc financial forecasting, analyses and modeling
  • Maintain scenario analyses integrating various hypothetical “what if” scenarios (e.g., changes in interest rates, market volatility, and potential acquisitions or divestures)
  • Prepare analytical reports and presentations for distribution to the Board of Directors, executive management and various regulatory bodies
  • Retrieve and manipulate data from multiple sources and produce relevant analyses and charts at the request of the CFO and other senior management
  • Participate in various process improvement activities and other special projects (e.g., bank presentations, stress testing and liquidity analyses)
  • Ad hoc reporting and other miscellaneous projects as assigned
  • Excellent technical and analytical/quantitative skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to explain complex matters to multiple constituencies
  • Ability to see the "big picture" while maintaining a high attention to detail
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to problems with an interest in identifying, studying, and improving complex work processes
  • Exceptional work ethic, with an ability to function effectively with deadlines and minimal supervision

Qualifications (education, work experience, certifications, etc.):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or other quantitative disciplines required. MBA or Master’s degrees in Finance or other quantitative disciplines is a plus
  • 4-7 years of experience in the financial industry, with specific experience in the banking industry strongly preferred
  • Must have strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills strongly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL and/or Business Intelligence software is a significant plus

Summary

The Assistant Manager for the Call Center will assist the Call Center Manager on daily operations by directing and coordinating staff through daily hands-on work to ensure coverage; by overseeing and implementing bank policies and procedures; by maintaining compliance with regulations; and to generally ensure overall professional and efficient operations of the call center location. Summary

Are you looking for a non-traditional banking opportunity? Beal Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager. We are a wholesale bank with a focus on deposits and related services. Our branch product lines are limited to money market accounts, certificates of deposit (including individual retirement accounts) and statement savings accounts. Loan origination experience is not necessary and there are no sales requirements.

In conjunction with or in the absence of the Branch Manager, directs and supervises the daily activities of the branch. Oversees and implements branch policies and procedures, as well as ensures compliance. Maintains communications with personnel to ensure overall professional and efficient operation of the branch.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the branch including management and training of staff, security, customer service and scheduling
  • Ensures that staff is adhering to company policies and procedures by monitoring work
  • Performs new account and teller duties as needed, as well as various accounting functions such as preparing and posting journal entries, balancing general ledger to subsidiaries, wire fund transfers
  • Responsible for the security and safety of banking center, personnel and customers
  • Training of personnel to include BSA, as well as procedures and implementation of new products
  • Responsible for approval and submission of invoices
  • Auditing and verification of new accounts and file maintenance performed by staff
  • Responsible for all aspects of personnel, including hiring and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure branch appearance, furniture and equipment are in optimal condition
  • Assists in special projects as needed
  • Responsible for every aspect of customer service, including, but not limited to, servicing as a new account representative, when warranted
  • Preparing and submitting various reports, as required or requested
  • Reconciliation of various general ledger accounts specific to banking center operations

Qualifications (education, work experience, certifications, etc.):

  • Must have at least 5 years banking expereince, with a minumum of 1 year in a management or supervisory role
  • Must possess strong supervisory and customer service skills, extensive knowledge of bank operations, regulatory compliance and basic accounting skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
  • Adaptability to change is critical
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

We are a bank that focuses on deposits and related services. The Retail Banking Specialist is part of a small hands-on team and will work directly with customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist in greeting customers as they enter the bank lobby
  • Open and process documentation for new accounts, including IRAs
  • Process deposits and/or withdrawals
  • Complete verification of deposits and date of death valuations for estates & executors
  • Assist with opening daily mail in dual custody
  • Complete Currency Transaction Reports (when applicable) and forward to appropriate area for processing
  • Sell cashier’s checks, initiate wire transfers and issues temporary checks to customers
  • Maintain cash drawer, adhering to bank policies & procedures
  • Assist in balancing the vault weekly
  • Assist customers in account maintenance (renewals, re-styling, and address changes)
  • Assist customers and/or prospective customers with inquiries via telephone
  • Perform account research as requested by customers
  • Process daily mail deposits and or file maintenance
  • Accept and process stop payment orders
  • General filing (sorting, scanning, indexing, filing & preparation of documents for offsite storage)
  • Community involvement for CRA service credit
  • Assists in special projects as needed

Qualifications (education, work experience, certifications, etc.):

  • 1-3 years banking experience
  • 2-4 years customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal/customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of retail bank operations and regulatory compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet navigation
